(Detroit Free Press) Three European scientists shared the 2008 Nobel Prize in medicine Monday for separate discoveries of viruses that lead to AIDS and cervical cancer, breakthroughs that helped doctors fight the deadly diseases. (US News and World Report) New research offers more evidence that a new class of AIDS drug can provide major benefits for certain patients who have become immune to existing medications.
