How does a fashion icon celebrate his birthday? With friends and family looking fierce of course. The Austin Chronicle writer pulled a few hundred pals together at Austin’s posh nightclub Pangea. Friday night was full of smiles, chatter and what else, fashion. Props to Neil Diaz for throwing a party with only a week’s notice. See a couple more pics from the night after the jump…

We just had enough time to catch a few pics during Softball Austin’s second week of play at Krieg Fields on Sunday. We couldn’t stay long (had brunch to get to) but we wanted to share a little of the field play from a beautiful day in East Austin. Who knew gay men could get so sweaty (outside the bedroom and club) and still have fun. More pics after the jump .

Our new goal is to inspire you (and ourselves) to work out by featuring each week a nice set of abs by a real man of Austin. This six-pack is courtesy of beer-slinger George, a bartender at Oilcan Harry's. If you have a pic of Austin abs to show off send it to editor@manofaustin.com

A corner of Oilcan Harry’s looked like Toys R Us on Sunday night. Dolls, trucks, games and bikes piled up for Glenn Eaddy’s 8th Annual Toy Drive. According to Glenn, this year’s haul took in more than $3,000 worth of toys going to kids living with HIV and Project Transitions. Eaddy has celebrated his birthday with this charitable drive for the past eight years. Happy Birthday to Glenn and thanks to everyone who took the time to bring a toy. We hope some lucky girl OR boy loves the High School Musical doll we dropped by. :)
