Get involved with 2010’s Austin Pride! It’s easy and a fun way to be part of one of the gay community’s biggest events. AGLCC President, Chad Peevy, tells you how to join in the festivities:
Monday night was the community Pride 2010 planning meeting. I’m happy to report we had a great turnout – 96 proud Austinites. We also announced the formation of the Austin Gay and Lesbian Pride Foundation, an organization being filed as a 501c3, whose purpose is to organize, plan, and fund raise for Austin Pride celebrations for many years to come. We also had more than $10,000 pledged to our Proud 100 Program! To download Monday night’s presentation, click here.
Many have already signed up to volunteer but we could still use your help. Listed below you’ll find a list of the fund raising events planned over the next several months, as well as events planned for Pride weekend. I hope that you’ll find an area where you are able to contribute. Volunteers are being asked to sign up before then end of the week. You can sign up to help online at AustinPride2010.org.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me via email at president@aglcc.org or call me at 512-330-1002. Until next time, you can find me, AGLCC and Austin PRIDE on Facebook and Twitter.
Be well,
