American Idol is getting a little more gayer this season. Ellen DeGeneres is taking the empty seat at the judges’ table. She will join Simon, Randy and Kara Whats-her-name after auditions wrap up and the contestants start their rounds in Hollywood.

According to People.com, Simon says Ellen will bring a unique human touch to the judges’ table. We think that means ‘musically she doesn’t know what the hell she’s talking about but she’ll bring in the bloody viewers.’
