A post on Austinist.com not only details the closing of another shop in The Domain, but it also gives a glimpse into the problems apparently facing store owners in the pricey shopping center.

The article reads… “Store owners cite a lack of foot traffic and high rents as contributing factors for the closure, coupled with a sales decline of nearly 50% since last fall.”

The post also quotes from a press release from Bettysport – the shop that recently closed its doors at The Domain, “”Traffic there has never met expectations, and nearly all of the retailers there have suffered lower than expected sales.”

Ouch. The Domain is pretty but we have to admit the exclusive outdoor center feels more like a theme park for window shoppers than a place for serious label queens.
