Openly Gay U.S. Sailor Murdered
The family of U.S. Sailor August Provost are making funeral arrangements after the Houston native was found murdered on Tuesday, June 30.
According to Internet reports, Provost’s body was found in a guard shack at Camp Pendleton in San Diego.
Family members believe the openly gay Navy man was the victim of a hate crime – a brutal one at that – his hands and feet were tied, he was gagged, shot three times and his body had been set on fire.
The investigation into Provost’s death continues. The military has taken one man into custody and are reported to be searching for a second person of interest.
Our thoughts and prayers go to the family, friends and boyfriend of August Provost.

This makes me sick to my stomach. It’s really hard to believe anyone could do something so vile. I hope some of our brothers in San Diego will “take care” of the people responsible for this.
