One of the top hookup sites has had a major makeover and the jury’s out on this one. While the basic layout is still the same – the structure of the site has taken on a very ‘boxy’ feel.

First, the main menu has been moved from the left to the top of the page leaving a big hole on the left side.

A new menu fills the bottom leading you to Manhunt’s other sites and each profile now has its own row of buttons. The buttons make it easier to email, add a buddy or block someone.

The down side is that it add so many frickin’ buttons to the page that your screen is filled with text-filled squares.

Now for the highlights. There are some cool additions. The Availability button is now on the lower right – making it easier to switch from Ask Me to RIGHT NOW! A new function in email also speeds up your rejections. You can add standard regret messages so you don’t have to type ‘no way jose’ hundreds of times each night.

The speed of the new Manhunt seems a little slow and it crashed once on us already but maybe we’re just missing the old interface…or maybe we’re just making a mountain out of molehill – the fact of the matter is you can still “get on and get off”.
